This first Friday September 7th, please join us for the opening of a special, week-long art exhibit and high quality live jazz in an intimate settings!

In collaboration with San Francisco History Factory, The Emerald Tablet presents an exhibit centered on The City and its history. Photographs, fine art prints, posters, merchandise and SF History Factory’s classic tour maps showcase and chart the City by the Bay throughout its past and present. The show will be on display for one week only, from Friday September 7th to September 14th. Don’t miss it!

San Francisco History Factory, brainchild of Tim Keefe and fellow factory workers Dave McMacken, Liz Lerma, Merritt Pelkey, Jason Keefe and Chris Keefe brings visitors and San Franciscans products, featuring “San Francisco Tim’s History Tour Maps”, that promote The City By The Bay and guide explorers to the destinations that make San Francisco the City where you leave your heart!

This first Friday, we’re also introducing guest musicians tbd, an excellent jazz quartet which will perform live music at The Emerald Tablet on Friday September 7 and Friday September 14, with other dates to be announced. tbd–a quartet with two trumpets, bass and drums, plays their music in a linear way, creating implied harmonies, and stretching traditional forms.

The original music they perform was written with this particular instrumentation in mind, and has been created since the group began playing together. Also the band’s original compositions often grow from a small idea and are developed by all of the members of the group. In this band, the line is the most important element, and it determines the direction and expresses the emotion and story of the music.
