GEE VAUCHER’S “ANGEL” – the latest movie by the Crass co-founder

Please join us for a very special evening, featuring Gee Vaucher and Penny Rimbaud, founders of legendary anarcho-punk band Crass! The Emerald Tablet and RE/Search Publications are proud to present Angel, the latest film by Crass co-founder Gee Vaucher.

“I started the film as a portrait of a young girl who was about to enter into her final years of school,” says Vaucher. “I thought that would be it, but the film seems to have stated something else: the fears and joys of a child”. A sensation at the recent Raindance Film Festival, Gee’s film has been called “a sublime exercise in visual perception” and “a captivating work of unsettling, sinister beauty.” (Read more at the Raindance Film Festival’s website.)

V. Vale will interview Crass founders Gee Vaucher and Penny Rimbaud after the screening. A small exhibit of Gee’s prints will be on display. This is an intimate event, with only 50 tickets available. All proceeds go directly to Gee Vaucher and Penny Rimbaud, to pay the cost of airfare from the UK. Meet Penny and Gee afterwards. Books and prints will be available for sale. Have them signed!

Sunday March 17. Doors 7 pm. Show 8 pm.
Delicious complimentary food. Drinks by donation.
Tickets are $23 via RE/Search. 100% goes to Gee and Penny.
