JAZZ IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD: madeline eastman and her trio

Please join us on Saturday, December 14th at 8pm for a special Jazz in the Neighborhood, featuring jazz vocalist extraordinaire Madeline Eastman and her trio: Randy Porter (piano), Zach Ostroff (bass) and Hamir Atwal (drums).

Madeline is one of those rare singers who is a full partner in the music: “I don’t want a back-up trio,” she says. “I don’t want accompanists. I want to be part of the fun. To connect with everybody and take that wild ride.”

Join us for what promises to be a great ride!

Since 2012, The Emerald Tablet has hosted top notch jazz evenings every second Friday under the stewardship of master trumpet player and teacher Mario Guarneri, and his organization Jazz in the Neighborhood. Please click here to see some examples of the talented musicians who have performed at The Emerald Tablet under the aegis of Jazz in the Neighborhood.

The Bay Area is home to many incredible jazz musicians who’ve devoted their lives to developing their craft and attaining the highest artistic levels. Jazz in the Neighborhood is an important step towards creating an environment where these accomplished professionals can nurture a great American art form in dignity and respect, while delighting audiences of all ages. The Emerald Tablet is proud to provide its resources, on a regular basis, to help this dream to become a reality.

This event is sponsored by the Music Performance Trust Fund of the American Federation of Musicians and Jazz in the Neighborhood, a member of the Intersection for the Arts Incubator Program.

Seating is limited and reservations are encouraged. To reserve, call (415) 671-8867, OR e-mail reservations@jazzintheneighborhood.org. You may also reserve a spot and or make a donation on Eventbrite by clicking here.
